Beneath the Sunlit Sky...

Words to dream of in this part of the country. Just where is the sun? It seems as though this Spring has been filled with days and days of rain...one doesn't dare to count how many. So much rain, it's difficult to sleep for worry of water in the basement. Thankfully, we have been fortunate in that respect and typically we don't have flooding like so many others experience. I do however wonder if I will ever see my garden path again.
All the rain and clouds does make for a lovely moss.

And the rose does "pop" in the clouds. Is that a tear for sun?
Well one thing is certain...rainy days are good stitching days. It is nice to have another "finish", although I'm not sure whose initials to stitch on this piece. Alma, of Blackbird Designs, has a nice explanation with the pattern as to why she chose to use her husband's and her own initials. While taking a break for a fun day, my "jewel" of a friend and I came across a creek with the most majestic heron watching the world go by. Hmmmm....maybe I should stitch our initials, but then will she think it hers? Time will tell... There's word of sun this weekend....may yours be golden beneath the sunlit sky!

From years spent in Holland, I know how terribly dreary a rainy spring can be (as well as how one fears for flooding!). I hope your weekend will be dry and bright!!

such a gorgeous finish, i love it!
have to admit, I love rainy days, but it sure can be worrisome when there's just so much of it and there's flooding to worry about...
hope it lets up soon!

Since you posted this we've had quite a crazy string of weather days, haven't we? I just potted my patio containers...still haven't done anything to the areas in my front yard...that includes weeding! :(

Love your post on Steve H.'s garden sale!! I didn't make it over this time....may try to this weekend, as he just sent out his e-mails again. They're serving wine on Sunday...that's and enticement! :)

Hope all is well....do you take the summer off from school? dana

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

What to do. . .

Blog, stitch, finish work?  I have no idea where to start. My world is spinning with change.  Trying to keep up and not knowing where to start.  Turning the page of the calendar was an eye-opener for sure.  2018. . .really?  Where did 2017 go, not to mention the last 3 years?! Life is what you make it and I'm going for love, joy and kindness.  Hopefully, that will include saying hello on occasion to my blog friends. How about you?  What are your plans for 2018?
