A finish...

No, not cross stitch, the house! As we watched the truck pull away with the last load of debris, there were sighs of relief and dancing going on. Even the grandgirls were happy and approved of the new colors...don't you know how valued their opinions are?! Looking back on the last 8 weeks, it was not that difficult...easy to say after it's a finish. A few little tweaks here and there, house numbers (and where to place them), how to decorate the front...you know those minor details that can make a difference in one's eye. All in due time, they will come, along with a growing list of "to do". Should you be pondering home improvements be fore warned, twice as much time and money and a great deal of patience is a prerequisite. Forget the "to do's"...off to finish the wine!

Domino effect

Do you remember in an earlier post there was mention of numerous outside home repairs taking place here? Could the work already be into it's 7 th week? Initially what started as one or two repairs has led into brick work and painting. Do you know how stressful it is to change colors after 30 years? Yes, one can expect any type of repair to take longer and cost more, but please let there be peace and quite. Work has gone from summer subbing, then hours cut back to no job at all! I'd say that was some domino effect! Oh well, to quote a dear friend, "energy is our only currency". Now there will be energy and time for those many projects (whether it be organizing, creating or stitching) left undone. And blogging...talk about a domino effect! Trying to capture colors and format
