More America...

And not all of it wonderful...the stitching, that is. What was I thinking, why did I frame this Birds of a Feather piece? Another perfect little project that would have been just right for a small bowl?!I did not like stitching the Prairie Schooler heart on 18 count davos so I stitched the Cricket angel on 18 count aida? What was I thinking?!
Remember this frame from winter and spring stitching? Sheepish Designs "Eagle" was a perfect fit even though the eagle flew off center....what was he thinking?!

There must have been a little more thinking going on here...Blackbird Designs "Patriotic Bouquet" from Souvenirs of Summer is a favorite that reminds me of good stitching time spent with a friend.

As this piece...another Birds of a Feather...was started at the beginning of the Iraq War, I know what I was thinking!! Although, did any of us think, to date, there is still no end?
Let us all think Peace today...and every day.

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

Ending and beginning. . .

Each new year fills my heart with reflections on the old and expectations for the new.  While taking down the tree this morning, thoughts of  "Will I always put up a tree?" came to mind.  How could I not?  Each ornament has its own story to tell. Even Annie was a little sad to see the tree go. . . However, starting the new year stitching was a perfect way to bring in 2012.  Thank you Beth ( Heartstring Samplery ) for providing this lovely little chart .  Will you make new memories and remember the old?
