Weekend off...

No computer
No stock market reports
No tears
No mortgage fears
No job
No debt
No wine
No photo taken by me...credit goes to the "jewel"

No can be such a negative word. Looking back on the weekend, there was still plenty of joy to be found even with all the "No's" swirling around.

How about you--can you count joys in your life?

I love how creative you got with that photo!

I often just NOT watch the news or TV etc. There is so much negative stuff - perhaps it's the Head-in-the-sand type of mentality but it's a survival mechanism!

And to your question - Yes, I can!

Take care, Joy!

I notice that no tequila, no swearing and no shopping weren't included on the list! ;)

Amen to that!

Due to a recent medical issue and disability, I can see joy a little more clearly in some things!

Enjoy your day!!

Thanks Andrea!

Melissa, I have to give kcjewel credit for the photo and I'm with you on giving up tv.

Jewel, surely you jest...swearing? Me?!

And Sherry, hope all is well.
Mortgage paid for another month, pantry full of food, everyone happy and healthy . . . the rest will all fall into place. Always keep joy when you can.

I definitely can't watch the news anymore. It just gets you down for sure. Love that pic btw, credit or no credit. It's good to stop and think of good things!

I love all of your NOs! I try not to watch the news anymore, too. My daughter got a smart phone & was telling me that she's turning off the news apps, too, because it was too disturbing to read before she went to bed.

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

Ending and beginning. . .

Each new year fills my heart with reflections on the old and expectations for the new.  While taking down the tree this morning, thoughts of  "Will I always put up a tree?" came to mind.  How could I not?  Each ornament has its own story to tell. Even Annie was a little sad to see the tree go. . . However, starting the new year stitching was a perfect way to bring in 2012.  Thank you Beth ( Heartstring Samplery ) for providing this lovely little chart .  Will you make new memories and remember the old?
