Fair Leather Day...

At Hallmarket: A Hallmark Artist Art Fair. About 100 employees/artists showcased work done on their own and not through the company. Amazing art in various mediums, however, I was drawn to leather. The sweet journal was made by a young lady who sold everything she brought. I wish I had taken a picture of all her varied pieces...they were all wonderful. And the cuff, made from a belt, caught my eye first thing. I'm not sure why I didn't buy it right away. So happy it was there when I returned. The artist said it was one of his favorites and glad to see me wearing it home.

What this gal did with bottles and odds and ends, words cannot describe.

It was a wonderful way to bring in the month of October. Great weather, art, food and friend. Next year more photos, artists names and more cash!

How did you begin the month?

I'm a bracelet fanatic and just started tinkering with leather again for non-jewelry projects. As soon as I saw that gorgeous leather creation on your wrist, I decided the easiest/quickest way for me to have one is visit the pet store for a few leather collars and embellish from there! Looks like a great show.

Love your new treasures, beautiful! Your bracelets are very pretty.

I haven't gone to any craft fairs lately, but the State Fair of Texas began last Friday, and J and I are going to it in a week or so. It's our fall tradition :)

Pretty things! That is a sweet little notebook and I love your bracelet!

I have seen bottles similar to the bottles in your pictures. They are lovely and would look so nice in a window.

Looks like a fun, fun fair. I love the belt braclet.

October was welcomed in by my husband and myself up north (in Michigan) with my 94 year old Grandpa (and Aunt/Uncle who live next door). Beautiful weather, awesome fall colors!

Enjoy your weekend.

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

What to do. . .

Blog, stitch, finish work?  I have no idea where to start. My world is spinning with change.  Trying to keep up and not knowing where to start.  Turning the page of the calendar was an eye-opener for sure.  2018. . .really?  Where did 2017 go, not to mention the last 3 years?! Life is what you make it and I'm going for love, joy and kindness.  Hopefully, that will include saying hello on occasion to my blog friends. How about you?  What are your plans for 2018?
