First finish of 2012...

Has been completely finished for a time now, but doubts of the "finishing" kept me from sharing. Maybe someday it will be framed, yet today, it's finished and hanging on the new found storage cabinet!  I had in mind to stitch and complete a project before starting anything new.  Well, that idea is being trashed...it just isn't fun!  I do, however, have plans to use what I have "in house" this year.  The chart was a wonderful freebie from Beth at My Heartstring, the fabric I over dyed from the "I don't like pile" and the threads were on hand.

It's fun to begin (and complete) a new project while visiting with a friend...she completed hers too!  Better yet, the two of us play together on the first Friday of every month and she had the wonderful idea of making a tag commemorating our outing.  There are rules in making these tags---we cannot purchase in advance for future months and have to use what we find, and I do mean find, that day...note the rusty piece. (And to think I laughed while she was picking up objects on the street...check out her creation here.) I can't remember all the rules...I just know it's going to be a little bit of a challenge, but oh so fun!

What fun challenges await you this year?

Really neat tag! Like the parts you put together. I've been working on some new tag sets myself. Such a pleasurable activity...love to do them.

Oh I love your first finish. I must go check it out. This may be a silly question but since I haven't done any finishing for ages - how did you finish your piece? I am gathering finishing ideas for this year, which is also my challenge this year - to stitch more smalls, and try different finishes!

That tag you put together is super cool. What a great idea the two of you have!

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

What to do. . .

Blog, stitch, finish work?  I have no idea where to start. My world is spinning with change.  Trying to keep up and not knowing where to start.  Turning the page of the calendar was an eye-opener for sure.  2018. . .really?  Where did 2017 go, not to mention the last 3 years?! Life is what you make it and I'm going for love, joy and kindness.  Hopefully, that will include saying hello on occasion to my blog friends. How about you?  What are your plans for 2018?
