Too soon...

For the holly berries to be turning red

Or this little gal to have her own FB account

And way too soon to think of saying good bye to the morning glories.  Yet, a gentle rain with cool days cannot come soon enough.
Tell me, is it too soon to wish for Fall?

No, it's not too soon for Fall after this crazy summer. Do your holly's already have red berries. Mine don't have any at all - probably due to the hot summer. I'm looking forward to the nights where you put a blanket over you and snuggle in for sleep.

The little ones all grow too soon - don't they? I was very surprised yesterday to notice the dogwood berries all fully red. And just this morning a lovely, lonely blue Glory on the trellis.

A wee bit early for wishing fall!! I still want summer to remain! I do love fall though and also can't wait for the changing of the leaves and the start of a new school year.

With the cool mornings we've been having, it's hard not to wish for Fall... I'm still amazed at how fast time is flying by though. Love this post Joy!

Counting. . .

And counting the days, or should I say the months since I have posted.  I think of it often and do so enjoy seeing your posts.  Where does the time go? Life is becoming a new normal here and all is well.  I am, however, surprised that I even remember how to start a post.   Finely Finished  is now a full time job--not my favorite word.  Finish work is a passion for me (not a job) and I'm fortunate to have clients' that allow me to spend time in the studio and "create" using their finely stitched pieces.  And how fun to have someone say "do your magic"!   Strawberries seem to be a favorite to stitch these days.  With so many lovely designs, I can see why.  Erica Michaels' Quaker Strawberry  has passed through the studio in many color ways. Tell me. . .are you counting stitches or days?   Thank you for stopping by, looking forward to hearing from you.

Many...

Of you have been posting photos of your Christmas decorations, some even rethinking this year's decorating. Few changes take place here, which may seem boring, but I think of it as tradition.  Every year when I begin to decorate fond memories come to mind as I place each ornament, Santa and treasure in it's usual place. Yet simple as it may be, I did rearrange the deer tray and... The Santas came down from the mantle... Allowing one of my favorite samplers to shine without the clutter. What changes did you make this year?

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?
