Seriously...

Am I in need of therapy?  While cleaning my studio, I peeked into the basket of "starts"...little did I know there were so many!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not feeling any guilt.  After all, "keeps me out of the bars and off the streets" to quote a family member.  There really isn't a lot of money involved here...just a lot of stitching.  Stitching, gardening, reading and now finish work are passions.  Just need to nurture the passions.

The goal this year is to work on clients' finish work during the day and stitch during the evening.

First 2015 "Finely Finished" finishes shipped.

Seriously, what are your passions?

I love your designs and the colors you are using. It made my heart miss stitching alittle. I have not stitched since my Mother passed away. I think I lost my "want to." The last thing I stitched was for her. I have some starts but I am not sure that I will pick my needle back up...but I enjoy watching what you are doing. Dianntha

Love those pieces...beautiful. I try to devote time everyday to myself and I usually am successful.

Apart from my two grandchildren who are growing up far too fast, my passions are my cats (three) and dogs (two), stitching, patchwork and family history. They keep me sane (though some might doubt that!!

Lovely finishing, Joy--and I think your plan for finishing in the day and stitching at night sounds wonderful... I have very few starts as I've always been a one project at a time stitcher, but I am definitely addicted to stitching (and finishing is pretty fun, too--most of the time :)

Beautiful finishes, Joy!

My passions - sewing(clothes), stitching, painting (languishing a bit) gardening, reading... these all rotate as to who gets my attention most at a time!

Happy Sunday!

My passions? Farming - getting my master's degree - working - living in Maine - my amazing family - the next unknown adventure. :)
My passions are stitching, knitting and quilting - outside of my family of course! I refuse to feel guilty about what I have unfinished too. I find therapy in the "doing". Definitely a stress reliever!

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

What to do. . .

Blog, stitch, finish work?  I have no idea where to start. My world is spinning with change.  Trying to keep up and not knowing where to start.  Turning the page of the calendar was an eye-opener for sure.  2018. . .really?  Where did 2017 go, not to mention the last 3 years?! Life is what you make it and I'm going for love, joy and kindness.  Hopefully, that will include saying hello on occasion to my blog friends. How about you?  What are your plans for 2018?
