Cool days. . .



Cooler nights.  It must be Fall!  My favorite time of year.
For me, it's an even better time to enjoy the outdoors and garden.

I tend to decorate a bit indoors and out with the change of seasons.  Although this year, my heart didn't seem to be in it.  Rather do nothing, I'm "changing things up" and having fun doing so.


And then there's Finely Finished, keeping me busy with clients' lovely stitching.
      



Apparently, I need to post more often.  Blogger isn't allowing me to add additional photos.  I'll be back soon.  In the mean time. . .

I love fall, too, Joy, but always get a bit sad in October as that is when my dad passed away two years ago this Halloween. My heart really isn't in to Halloween decorating like it used to be, so I understand a bit of what you are going through. I am going to try to force myself to put out a few things today, though!

Love your finishing for your clients--especially that cute bag :)

What lovely items you have finished for your clients, Joy! I love fall followed by Winter. Spring is okay and Summer should be banned! I don't decorate much although I do change the ornaments on my wrought iron tree. At the moment, it is decked out in its fall finery. Enjoy your day!

Fall never used to be my favorite season, but I think being a knitter has changed that for me. lol! I love the cooler temps and the idea of sweater weather just makes me all happy!

Ending and beginning. . .

Each new year fills my heart with reflections on the old and expectations for the new.  While taking down the tree this morning, thoughts of  "Will I always put up a tree?" came to mind.  How could I not?  Each ornament has its own story to tell. Even Annie was a little sad to see the tree go. . . However, starting the new year stitching was a perfect way to bring in 2012.  Thank you Beth ( Heartstring Samplery ) for providing this lovely little chart .  Will you make new memories and remember the old?
