No, not cross stitch, the house!
As we watched the truck pull away with the last load of debris, there were sighs of relief and dancing going on. Even the grandgirls were happy and approved of the new colors...don't you know how valued their opinions are?!
Looking back on the last 8 weeks, it was not that difficult...easy to say after it's a finish. A few little tweaks here and there, house numbers (and where to place them), how to decorate the front...you know those minor details that can make a difference in one's eye. All in due time, they will come, along with a growing list of "to do". Should you be pondering home improvements be fore warned, twice as much time and money and a great deal of patience is a prerequisite. 
Forget the "to do's"...off to finish the wine!
