"Double digit days"...

At least that's what a friend said to me on Thursday. Interesting way of saying another month is passing?! So this will be the end of Valentine finishes. Oops...the emery is a Blackbird Design Christmas ornament but it's still a finish in my book.
"Live Laugh Love" by La-D-Da is a favorite! Truly, I do purchase patterns with the idea in mind to duplicate the designer's vision...yet when finding another $.25 cent frame (in the basement no less), how could I not do a little improvising? A little black paint on top of a red frame and a bit of sanding was perfect for this piece.
If you do nothing else this week...Live, Love and Laugh!

Thanks Lee! Did you ever finish yours? For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to do "links" in my post! I really do want to direct others to people like you who inspired me to stitch this piece.

Love the Valentine finishes! Live Laugh and Love is one of my favs as well.
Wonderful stitching all around. I think that crowned heart is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen and aren't those BBD Strawberry ornaments so fun to stitch?

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

Ending and beginning. . .

Each new year fills my heart with reflections on the old and expectations for the new.  While taking down the tree this morning, thoughts of  "Will I always put up a tree?" came to mind.  How could I not?  Each ornament has its own story to tell. Even Annie was a little sad to see the tree go. . . However, starting the new year stitching was a perfect way to bring in 2012.  Thank you Beth ( Heartstring Samplery ) for providing this lovely little chart .  Will you make new memories and remember the old?
