Many...

Of you have been posting photos of your Christmas decorations, some even rethinking this year's decorating. Few changes take place here, which may seem boring, but I think of it as tradition.  Every year when I begin to decorate fond memories come to mind as I place each ornament, Santa and treasure in it's usual place.

Yet simple as it may be, I did rearrange the deer tray and...

The Santas came down from the mantle...

Allowing one of my favorite samplers to shine without the clutter.

What changes did you make this year?

I love that sampler, too! It is a great verse.

Your deer tray is so pretty and shiny.

What changes did I make? Forty seven so far. Oh - you mean from last year? I can't remember last year. But I'm loving your Santas, sampler, and brick.

Your decorating looks great, Joy!

That's a lovely sampler but of course it's got us asking - what's it called and who designed it? It goes well against the brick wall.

I find comfort in traditions, so no changes here. :) I love the display on your tray and the Santas too. What a beautiful sampler, and I love the verse.

Beautiful!! I seem to change up my mantel every year, but everything else seems to stay about the same. Loved seeing your changes! Those Santas are fabulous!

I favor tradition and memories when it comes to decorating. The tray is so special with treasured pieces. Santas and sampler are wonderful, too. Merry Christmas, Joy.

Everything just seems to have a place when it come to decorating and so not much changes from year to year unless a new purchase is made.
Yours Christmas decor looks lovely,
Have a very Merry Christmas Joy!

Love all of your decor!!!!

I left one HUGE tote unopened in the garage. And the only things the kids missed were their stockings....and then they got a couple of cheapies from my MIL so I guess it's all good. LOL

changes keep everything fresh! I love the sampler - who did it and what is the name? I think that would make a great addition for a Christmas pillow on my bench of Christmas pillows (part of my favorite decorated areas of my house each year)!

I love the large sampler and I know it's more beautiful in person. I stitched it 20 years ago and it remains my favorite. (It's on my list to grab if I ever have to evacuate!) I still remember that it only cost $50 for the beautiful frame and labor. Oh, that we could have our samplers framed that inexpensively these days.

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

What to do. . .

Blog, stitch, finish work?  I have no idea where to start. My world is spinning with change.  Trying to keep up and not knowing where to start.  Turning the page of the calendar was an eye-opener for sure.  2018. . .really?  Where did 2017 go, not to mention the last 3 years?! Life is what you make it and I'm going for love, joy and kindness.  Hopefully, that will include saying hello on occasion to my blog friends. How about you?  What are your plans for 2018?
