Stitching again

I really hope to get back into my stitching and this is a little progress... I should mention along with being new to blogging, I also have a new camera. My "jewel" of a friend is giving me little tips, but I may be hopeless...she's the photographer! I believe tonight is a full moon...too bad it's cloudy. Now I'm glad I was up at 5am this morning...the moon was beautiful!!

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

Ending and beginning. . .

Each new year fills my heart with reflections on the old and expectations for the new.  While taking down the tree this morning, thoughts of  "Will I always put up a tree?" came to mind.  How could I not?  Each ornament has its own story to tell. Even Annie was a little sad to see the tree go. . . However, starting the new year stitching was a perfect way to bring in 2012.  Thank you Beth ( Heartstring Samplery ) for providing this lovely little chart .  Will you make new memories and remember the old?

Many...

Of you have been posting photos of your Christmas decorations, some even rethinking this year's decorating. Few changes take place here, which may seem boring, but I think of it as tradition.  Every year when I begin to decorate fond memories come to mind as I place each ornament, Santa and treasure in it's usual place. Yet simple as it may be, I did rearrange the deer tray and... The Santas came down from the mantle... Allowing one of my favorite samplers to shine without the clutter. What changes did you make this year?
