To fill one's heart...

With memories is always a treasure and this Fourth of July was no exception. We started the day at the pool...no you will never see those pictures. And after a couple of hours, headed to the grandgirls' home. They both assured me they will never be too old for holiday goodies...

Or socks that come in the gift. Why the sad face? "Isn't there any more fireworks?" Being eight can be rough even on holidays.
Dinner was not formal by any means, however according to the youngest grandgirl, we did need an invitation to actually get dinner!

After dinner we loaded the car with blankets, popcorn, playing cards and Papa. After 30 years of Papa working on holidays, we were excited to have him join us...

For beautiful fireworks!
Don't you just love a heart full of memories?

It sounds like such a fun time! I have many fond memories, as do my kids, of going to see the fireworks with family. Memories of my dad taking us when we were kids, and then my kids loved it when their favorite uncle tagged along with us. I love the dinner invites!

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

Many...

Of you have been posting photos of your Christmas decorations, some even rethinking this year's decorating. Few changes take place here, which may seem boring, but I think of it as tradition.  Every year when I begin to decorate fond memories come to mind as I place each ornament, Santa and treasure in it's usual place. Yet simple as it may be, I did rearrange the deer tray and... The Santas came down from the mantle... Allowing one of my favorite samplers to shine without the clutter. What changes did you make this year?
