Twelve and all she wants is to gain five pounds so she can sit in the front seat of cars. Silly girl...won't be long and you won't want weight for your birthday!

As always, gracious in opening presents...never forgetting an immediate "thank you" no matter the gift.

And since she is so into recycling,
Grammie finds the perfect packaging...no trash involved. Although her dad believes I need to change my thoughts on my age if I'm going to use 45's as wrapping. Does anyone still have those let alone remember what they are?

Twelve years...what a loving gentle spirit you have become...
Happy Birthday. Love you to the Moon!

Yes I remember 45's. Do they even make the record players any longer?
Yes, I still have 45s, 33s, and, if you can believe it, even a few 78s. When my dad passed away I got several boxes of records and albums from the 40s to the 80s. They were added to my own collection from the 70s and early 80s. My 12 year-old-son has been most impressed with the original Star Wars soundtrack that still has the poster from 1977. :) We've been playing a lot of old musical soundtracks, Nat "King" Cole, and Frank Sinatra on the combo player lately. Nice memories.
Yes...I remember 45's! My mother gave me some when I was a kid, my most favorite one was Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman and then some Elvis ones too. My hubby collects old LP's, but doesn't have too many of the 45's...you're very clever to use them for wrapping!
